Should we stay or should we go?

You may be surprised to hear this, BUT I'm not certain our current house is our forever home... GASP!
Now don't get me wrong, I love our house and it is definitely HOME. However, the more we think

about the future, the more and more we are considering buying a house with some land. The street behind us has acre plus lots and I find myself wandering over there at least once a week to stare at my favorite houses. This week, a house on a 1.25 acre lot came on the market that I love. I continuously find myself daydreaming of sitting on its back porch, drinking iced tea and watching Grady run around with baby goats and sheep.
I raised sheep and swine and it taught me so much about responsibility, money, and commitment. I spent hours every day taking care of those animals. I learned so much about myself while raising livestock; I would like to see Grady have that same opportunity. I would love for us to have goats, sheep, and maybe even a pig. Plus, I can totally see us having like five dogs!
There would be a trade off though... we would definitely have a smaller house if we had more land. Our current home is 3,400 square feet and I wouldn't want to maintain a house that big plus the land.
So, it may not be for a few years, but you heard it here first folks... I think we're farmhouse bound, but if possible, we'll definitely stay in/near Gilbert.
